Solicitor Rubin Italia comments on forgery and fraud, in a peculiar case concerning a fake funeral held in South Kensington, in The Telegraph.

Rubin’s comments were published in The Telegraph, 8 March 2024, and can be found here.

The story concerned a peculiar case where a fake funeral had been held in South Kensington for a missing Latvian man. It was discovered that the mourners were in fact actors, documents appeared to have been forged and that there was no body inside the coffin.

“Any funeral directors would need a death certificate to arrange a funeral with the church. The offence could be using a false instrument,” Rubin told The Telegraph.
